Beautiful vase made in collaboration with Roost...this is from the "Deanflowers" collection of mouth blown glass vases.
This style and shape of vase works great with long stems, like Hydrangea, Lilacs etc....a layer of rocks would work great to keep the stems in place. I could also see forcing paper white bulbs, with a couple inches of rocks on the bottom to make room for the roots. The tall narrow shape would keep the stems stable. Or how about forcing some avocado seeds in the same manner...lots of options.
Every Henry Dean object is created out of mouth blown and handmade glass. The use of a wooden mould is a very primitive technique to create glass objects and has to be performed by the skilled hands of real artisans. Each time this mould is used, it burns out a little bit, thus giving each object its unique, handmade character.
Designed in Belgium, hand blown in Romania.
10" tall x 10" wide x 3" deep and weighs close to 7 lbs.
