Expertly hand-carved from the gnarly roots of hardwood teak trees in the remote villages of Bali, these teak root scoops are richly grained objects that are both functional and beautiful.
Set of 2 Scoops
They are the perfect size for "mis en place" a French term that means to have everything in place before you start cooking.
I've tried these out when cooking Indian dishes, where you typically have several herbs and spices thrown in at a couple different times and the cooking goes fast.
They could also be used as a scoop for granola or flour from a large jar, salt on the table, an olive pit vessel on a cheese board, for jewelry in your bathroom. The handy hole allow you to hang them in your kitchen when not in use.
